When sending cases for radiologist interpretation, the patient history is the most important part of the submission. This is what the cost for interpretation is based off, so make sure that your history is thorough and clearly defines your area of concern. If this is unclear, the client may be overcharged or the CT may be under interpreted. For example; An imaging stack may include the skull, neck, and thorax on a small patient but you are only concerned about the skull because the patient has a head tilt. If you do not make that clear in the history, we could be charged for 3 sites instead of 1. * A site is defined as 1 area of concern. For example, “abdomen” is 1 site. “Skull” is also 1 site. If a pet is limping on their hind leg, the entire area from Hip to Toe is 1 site. We will submit exactly what is written below.
